A Short Comparison Between iPhone 11 and iPhone XR

At the time of the launch of iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, it was surprising for many people that iPhone 11 Base model, with its price of $699, was $50 cheaper than iPhone XR of the previous series. However, company lowered the price of iPhone XR to $599.

With this price difference, it is worth comparing the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR to determine which phone is capable of providing more value. From the perspective of a normal iPhone user, iPhone XR should be the preferable choice.

IPhone 11
IPhone 11 comes with a dual-camera setup. It offers Night Mode shooting and a 12-megapixel front facing camera. It means that this phone is quite capable of taking better photos and videos. But if you compare these features with those of iPhone XR, you might not yet want to go for spending an extra $100. IPhone 11 comes with a new U1 chip, Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit LTE capabilities. These are the technologies which are going to come in full swing in the upcoming years. If you want to purchase an iPhone to enjoy these features in the future, choosing iPhone 11 is certainly the best thing to do. But one thing that needs to be taken into consideration here is that Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit LTE are not fully developed networks yet.

IPhone XR
The processor and other specs of iPhone XR belong to the previous year. And so, they may not be as strong as the ones available in iPhone 11. But you may not find paying an extra amount of $100 to skip the iPhone XR’s specs which are already quite compelling. And what’s more interesting here is that the battery of iPhone XR lasts longer as compared to that of iPhone 11. IPhone 11 is equipped with A13 bionic processor while iPhone XR comes with an A12 processor. Still, you are not going to find any difference between the performances of both iPhones.

Camera is where iPhone 11 seems to win the race on paper. That is due to addition of an ultra-wide-angle camera. But if you look at the photos taken by iPhone XR, they will still be quite compelling.

Looking at the features of both iPhones, we can safely say that it would be quite better to spend money on purchasing an iPhone XR with 128GB of storage if you have got an extra $100.

In simple words, iPhone XR seems to provide the best value if you are on a tight budget and you want to purchase an iPhone with premium features.

Short Comparison Between iPhone XR and iPhone 8 Plus

IPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are finally launched. However, the launch of these phones does not make the older iPhones obsolete. Older iPhones still have the features which keep them in the list of modern choices the customers can make. In this article, we will talk about the iPhone XR and iPhone 8-Plus. These phones have the strong features; and the best thing is that Apple has dropped the prices of these phones after the launch of iPhone 11.

Talking about the iPhone XR, it is the phone equipped with A12 bionic process, which is just one level below the A13 chip used in iPhone 11. This phone is now available at a price of $599. This price is quite attractive for a phone with bigger screen, according to new iphone reviews.

IPhone 8-Plus is available at a price of $549, which is $50 less than the prices of iPhone XR. This phone is also a quite fantastic one. This phone comes with a classic iPhone design with a physical home button below the screen. And the best thing is that this phone has many of the same advantages which are provided by iPhone XR.

IPhone XR (The Modern Design)

Gesture navigation, Face Unlock and animated emojis are the features that make iPhone XR a pretty modern choice. Up until 2018, iPhone XR had been the iPhone with longest battery life. Edge-to-edge display with a comfortable body, fast processing, wireless charging, and a high quality camera are the features that make this phone quite amazing.

IPhone 8-Plus (An Amazing Deal)

With the launch of iPhone 11, Apple has reduced the price of iPhone 8-Plus by further $50. Now, this phone is $250 cheaper than its launch price. But you may wonder if this phone is worth going for with a slow processor, shorter battery time, a comparatively classic camera, and no dual-SIM capability at a $50 less prices as compared to XR which has all of the said features updated. Well, the short answer to this question may be ‘No’ for many people but it truly depends on case-to-case scenario.

Design
With an edge-to-edge display and slimmer bezels, the display size of the iPhone XR is 6.1 inches. However, the physical footprint of this phone is actually smaller than that of iPhone 8-Plus. Moreover, iPhone XR comes in 6 vibrant colors.

IPhone 8-Plus, on the other hand has a smaller screen of 5.5 inches. However, this phone offers higher screen resolution as compared to that of iPhone XR because it has more pixels per inch. There is no notch in the iPhone 8-Plus, and it has the classic home button which also serves as a fingerprint scanner.

Camera
IPhone XR comes with a front facing camera which can sense depth and map your face properly. This feature allows you to unlock the phone and its several features using this front camera. Moreover, this very feature can help you make emojis of your face. This phone doesn’t have the second camera which is available in the other phones of X-series. It means that there is no 2X optical zoom available.

Although you may expect iPhone 8-Plus to take better photos due to its dual-camera system as compared to iPhone XR, the latter iPhone takes better photos actually. But it doesn’t mean that the photos taken by iPhone 8-Plus are of low quality in any sense. They aren’t just as good as the iPhone XR’s. And another feature that ups the game of iPhone 8-Plus is its second telephoto lens. It means that it provides an option of optical 2X zoom.

Performance
While the performance of an iPhone 8-Plus is quite amazing for most of the users, iPhone XR performs better. The reason is that iPhone XR is equipped with a faster processor as compared to iPhone 8-Plus but this difference is negligible even when you do the multitasking. However, iPhone XR is indeed a faster phone on paper.
