At the time of the launch of iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro
Max, it was surprising for many people that iPhone 11 Base model, with its
price of $699, was $50 cheaper than iPhone XR of the previous series. However,
company lowered the price of iPhone XR to $599.
With this price difference, it is worth comparing the iPhone
11 and iPhone XR to determine which phone is capable of providing more value.
From the perspective of a normal iPhone user, iPhone XR should be the
preferable choice.
IPhone 11
IPhone 11 comes with a dual-camera setup. It offers Night
Mode shooting and a 12-megapixel front facing camera. It means that this phone
is quite capable of taking better photos and videos. But if you compare these
features with those of iPhone XR, you might not yet want to go for spending an
extra $100. IPhone 11 comes with a new U1 chip, Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit LTE
capabilities. These are the technologies which are going to come in full swing
in the upcoming years. If you want to purchase an iPhone to enjoy these
features in the future, choosing iPhone 11 is certainly the best thing to do.
But one thing that needs to be taken into consideration here is that Wi-Fi 6
and Gigabit LTE are not fully developed networks yet.
IPhone XR
The processor and other specs of iPhone XR belong to the
previous year. And so, they may not be as strong as the ones available in
iPhone 11. But you may not find paying an extra amount of $100 to skip the iPhone
XR’s specs which are already quite compelling. And what’s more interesting here
is that the battery of iPhone XR lasts longer as compared to that of iPhone 11.
IPhone 11 is equipped with A13 bionic processor while iPhone XR comes with an
A12 processor. Still, you are not going to find any difference between the
performances of both iPhones.
Camera is where iPhone 11 seems to win the race on paper.
That is due to addition of an ultra-wide-angle camera. But if you look at the
photos taken by iPhone XR, they will still be quite compelling.
Looking at the features of both iPhones, we can safely say
that it would be quite better to spend money on purchasing an iPhone XR with
128GB of storage if you have got an extra $100.
In simple words, iPhone XR seems to provide the best value
if you are on a tight budget and you want to purchase an iPhone with premium
features.
